The Ultimate Guide to Shopping in Prague
If you're looking for where to shop in Prague, this guide is for you!
For quite some time now, Prague has been a preferred destination for international flights, not only because it is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, but also because prices in Prague are significantly better and more affordable compared to Israel and other places—even when shopping in Prague’s malls. This makes it the perfect destination for shopping!
In Czech culture, consumer habits are very different from those of Israelis. Czechs are a simple and practical people, buying only what they need, with almost no spontaneous purchases. As a result, shopping prices in Prague are much lower compared to other European countries. This allows Israeli tourists to shop in Prague at prices that are quite affordable, with price differences that can reach up to half the price for the same item from a well-known brand—and sometimes even less than that. For example, if you visit the Primark branch on Wenceslas Boulevard, you’ll find a variety of fashion stores we all know and love, such as Zara, Mango, H&M, Bershka, and many more, all waiting for you in the most central part of the city.
Of course, in the city center, you’ll find a large number of vintage and designer stores located in alleys and hidden spots. For example, Černá Růže Mall contains a high number of unique boutiques and specialty stores that you won’t find anywhere else.
On Pařížská Street, you’ll find all the high-end brands like Prada, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and more.
But! Don’t be tempted! Why? Because Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic, making it a tourist city that attracts millions of visitors every year. As in any capital city, all the central, tourist-filled areas tend to have higher prices compared to regular prices in the Czech Republic. Therefore, the first tip is—be patient! As you've probably figured out, if you venture (not far, by the way) from the center of Prague, you can find the biggest malls that not only offer a larger selection of stores and international brands but also more styles and sizes, and more importantly—better prices.
For example, Pop Outlet, located in the airport complex, offers what I think is the best shopping experience in Prague. And it's important to note that in Prague, it’s worth entering unfamiliar stores, even if you don't know them.
Sales in Prague
If you're planning to visit Prague around December-January or June-July, you can enjoy sale periods with even lower prices, with discounts of up to 70% in some places! By the way, you can recognize sale signs in stores by looking for bold red signs at the entrance with the words "Výprodej" or "Sleva."
Of course, during our food tours, as you snack on delicious and unique dishes, you’ll receive the best shopping recommendations for the most interesting and affordable places in Prague.
In Summary:
Don’t rush to buy from the stores along your usual tourist route. Try to plan dedicated shopping time in the larger malls that are a little farther from the center, and save shopping for cold days or times when it’s better to spend time indoors. That way, you can browse at your leisure, without the tourist crowds, visit more stores, and most importantly—buy more while paying less. Oh, and don’t worry—it’s not difficult to get there! Just enter the mall’s name into the Google Maps app, and you’ll find the quickest and most direct route there.
By the way, we highly recommend using public transport—it’s very convenient, affordable, and common in Prague, making it relatively easy to get anywhere.

Besides the gourmet market, the mall also houses well-known food chains like Cinnabon, Costa Coffee, Aroma, Pholevka, Good Food, and other familiar fast-food outlets.
